The City of Winnipeg has put its search for a new chief administrative officer on hold until after this fall’s municipal election.
The city announced Thursday that the hiring “committee has decided to postpone the recruitment process until after the civic election citing the time constraints of delivering a suitable candidate prior to the election.”
The city’s acting CAO, Deepak Joshi, will continue in his role until a replacement for Phil Sheegl can be found.
Winnipeggers go to the polls on October 22.
