Two men have been charged with attempted murder after allegedly holding another man hostage in the 600 block of Maryland Avenue.
Winnipeg police say a 19-year-old man was at a small party in a suite on April 28 when two other men began harassing him.
The victim was then assaulted with numerous weapons, tied down and robbed of his belongings.
He was eventually able to break free and walk out to the street, where he flagged down a passing police cruiser.
The man was taken to hospital for his injuries and has since been upgraded to stable condition.
Timothy Hastings, 24, and Nicholas Jewels, 20, have been charged with attempted murder, two counts of forcible confinement, uttering threats, assault, three counts of robbery, and eight counts each of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon. They remain in custody.
