Charges Laid in One of Two Roseau River Homicides

RCMP Crest LogoCharges have been laid in one of two homicides under investigation on the Roseau River First Nation.

RCMP were called to the first incident on May 2, where they say Charles Gordon Joseph French, 23, was found deceased.

Richard Alex Johnson, 30, has been charged with second-degree murder and will appear in Winnipeg court on Monday.

Both men are from the community and were known to each other.

Police are also investigating the death of another man, which occurred on May 3.

The two incidents are not related and no further details have been released.
