Dauphin Man Charged After Evading Police in Stolen Vehicle

RCMP Crest LogoA 19-year-old Dauphin man has been arrested after alleging driving intoxicated and eluding police in a stolen vehicle.

RCMP say they attempted to stop a vehicle on River Avenue East in Dauphin shortly after 3 a.m. on May 3.

The vehicle fled north on Highway 20 and turned into a private yard where it eventually stopped.

Georgie Donovan Lamirande has been charged with a number of offences, including flight from police, impaired driving and possession of property obtained by crime. He appeared in Dauphin court on Monday.
