The community of Iles des Chenes is on track to see a new emergency medical services station.
Manitoba Health Minister Erin Selby announced Tuesday the 2,000-square-foot facility will include space for two ambulances as well as crew offices, a shower and washrooms.
“Developing a modern EMS station will support increased response times while helping the region recruit and retain staff more effectively,” Selby said on improving emergency care services in Southern Health Region.
The new station is expected to meet Manitoba Hydro’s Power Smart Building requirements for a commitment to energy-efficient building design and environmental leadership.
