The Winnipeg Goldeyes have traded rookie catcher Matt Albaugh to the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League for future considerations.
The 23-year-old was signed to the Fish this past offseason out of Kutztown University.
The Goldeyes are on the road for exhibition games against the Lincoln Saltdogs Friday and Saturday. Winnipeg will then face the Kansas City T-Bones on Monday and Tuesday in Kansas before opening the 2014 American Association regular season on May 15 against the Amarillo Sox in Texas.
