Winnipeg Rifles LogoThe Winnipeg Rifles football club is paying homage to the Blue Bombers by incorporating the well-known “W” in their new logo.

The logo will be familiar to football fans, while still recognizing the Winnipeg Rifles Infantry Regiment.

“The Blue Bomber organization is a leader in our community and has been a strong supporter of our club and amateur football in Manitoba,” said Todd Wilson, president of the Winnipeg Rifles. “It’s appropriate we acknowledge the Bombers great work in the community by incorporating their historic “W” logo.”

The Rifles joined the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) in 2002 and play in the Prairie Football Conference featuring players from ages 18-22.

Rifles’ spring training camp runs May 9-11 at the University of Manitoba campus on the outdoor field west of the soccer complex.
