With spring cleaning well underway at households across the city, why not take it one step further?
The City of Winnipeg’s annual spring curbside giveaway weekend is here. On Saturday and Sunday, residents are invited to place unwanted items on the curb.
Items can include anything from books, CDs and DVDs, to sports equipment, furniture, electronics and unwanted clothing or construction material.
The city asks that you don’t put anything out that could be unsafe, or items such as mattresses or bedding, which could contain bed bugs. Toilets with a flush volume of 13 litres or more are also not recommended.
Simply place a “FREE” label on the item and leave it out until dusk on Sunday night. A template for the label can be downloaded from the city’s website.
