Scenic tours of Winnipeg’s Red and Assiniboine rivers will begin this weekend at The Forks.
Splash Dash Tours will begin operating for the first time this season, leaving from the harbour every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to sunset.
“The boats are in great shape and the crew here is ready to go,” said Gord Cartwright, owner and operator of Splash Dash Tours. “While we’re still waiting for waters to recede in order to put our water bus service into operation, we are thrilled to be able to start our half hour historical tours of the city’s rivers.”
Boat captains provide commentary and historical insights on many points of interest along the way. Tickets are available at the Splash Dash kiosk at The Forks dock for $11 (adults) and $9 (seniors and youth).
