A 40-year-old man from the RM of Grahamdale was killed early Saturday after the SUV he was driving rolled.
The accident happened just before 4 a.m. on Old 514 Road, about 5 km north of Highway 68.
Ashern RCMP found the vehicle on its roof and the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene after being ejected. Police say he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
The 26-year-old male passenger from Lake Manitoba First Nation was able to extricate himself and was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
RCMP say while officers were responding to this crash, they stopped another impaired driver on the same road a few kilometres from the collision. A 46-year-old man was impaired by nearly three times the legal limit and is facing charges.
