WINNIPEG — Damage is estimated at $400,000 in an early morning house fire on Jefferson Avenue near Scotia Street.
The blaze began at around 8 a.m. on the unoccupied split level home currently under construction. Flames spread to a bungalow next door, badly damaging the structure and forcing the demolition of both properties. Two more homes also suffered damaged.
No one was injured and police are investigating the fire as an arson.
