Seven Charged in Manitoba for Alleged Drug Trafficking

RCMP Crest LogoTwo search warrants executed in Sandy Bay First Nation and Amaranth, Manitoba has resulted in several people being charged with drug-related offences.

RCMP carried out the raids last Friday at a home in the 200 block of Centre Road and at a business in the 100 block of Kinosota Road in Amaranth.

Police found approximately 14 grams of cocaine, cash, trafficking paraphernalia and a cell phone.

Seven people from Sandy Bay First Nation have been charged with possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

One of the charged was to appear in court today while the six remaining are scheduled to appear on June 17.
