The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed rookie right-handed pitcher Jeffery Stoner to the roster.
The 22-year-old went 2-3 with a 1.85 ERA and seven saves for NCAA II Francis Marion University in his senior season this spring. Among his senior season honours, Stoner was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference First Team, NCBWA All-Southeast Region Second Team and Daktronics All-Region Second Team.
The Goldeyes’ home opener is Monday night against the Sioux City Explorers at 7 p.m.
