An outdoor film-viewing event at The Forks will kick off tonight in a unique setting.
Tunnelvision is a fusion of street festival, underground party, and backyard film screening event. Organized by the Architecture Fringe Festival and StorefrontMB, the evening features three films that examine the processes and explorations of architecture and urban environments.
The 9 p.m. screening in the cobblestone rail underpass between The Forks and Main Street, will include “Double Facade” by Winnipeg’s Deco Dawson, “My Playground” by Danish film maker Kaspar Astrup Schroder, and “Open City Cinema.”
“This event is such an innovative use of a very seldom thought of but very beautiful part of The Forks,” said Paul Jordan, chief operating officer, The Forks. “We’re thrilled to be able to play a part in bringing architecture to our visitors, building on Warming Huts and Cool Gardens in years past.”
Snacks will be provided by Little Bones Wingery and beverages will be available at a cash bar. Admission is free.
