Winnipeg police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for a month-long break-and-enter spree.
Between April 24 and May 27, six residential break-ins were reported — mostly in the St. Boniface area — resulting in various items being stolen and significant damage being caused to property.
The man is also alleged to have stolen a Ford Ranger pickup truck stolen from Furby Street on May 9.
On Tuesday, the suspect allegedly stole property from a home on Seven Oaks Place after breaking in while the residents were asleep. A vehicle at the home was also stolen and was spotted in the area of Crystal Avenue and St. Thomas Road. Police caught up with the suspect after a brief foot pursuit.
Kerry Cousineau, 48, is facing several charges and remains in custody.
