Four Charged After SUV Stolen in Royalwood

Winnipeg Police CrestFour people, including two youths, are facing charges after an SUV was stolen from Edenwood Place.

Winnipeg police say the theft occurred sometime between May 25-26 and involved a 2011 Toyota RAV4.

While operating the vehicle, the suspects were spotted on May 28 breaking into a shed on Malcana Street. They fled the area once a resident noticed them and no items were taken.

Police caught up with the foursome moments later travelling southbound on Roch Avenue. The suspects fled and abandoned the vehicle in the area of Jamison Avenue and Trueman Street.

A 22-year-old woman and 17-year-old boy were arrested at the scene with the help of the canine unit and Air 1. A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man were located later in the day.

All four are facing numerous charges.
