The Winnipeg Humane Society has created a cat video in hopes of highlighting its subsidized spay and neuter program, SNAP.
Called “The Price is Purrfect,” recent Red River College Creative Communications graduate Samara Funk shot and produced the roughly three-minute video starring Mr. Bojangles and Fluffy.
“It was great to combine my love for animals and my passion for filming to help promote the spay and neuter initiative at The WHS,” Funk said. “Not to mention, the cats were amazing actresses — they really had to stretch their acting skills by pretending they were male contestants.”
Through the SNAP program, pet owners on fixed or low incomes can get their cats spayed or neutered for around $30. The surgery typically costs between $125 and $225 at Winnipeg veterinary clinics.
