The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada is bringing their large inflatable colon back to Winnipeg this weekend.
The Giant Colon Tour at The Forks gives visitors a chance to tour the 40-foot-long super-sized colon and encourage them to speak with on-site healthcare professionals about screening and prevention. The exhibit features all the pathologies and diseases of the human colon and includes a multimedia component.
Healthy Living and Seniors Minister Sharon Blady will cut the ceremonial blue ribbon on the exhibit Saturday at 9:35 a.m. in The Forks’ centre court.
The colon will remain on display all day Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
