Jet-setters waiting for their flights will have a new lounge to pass the time in come fall at Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport.
Plaza Premium Lounge will open in the airport’s departures area and feature a standalone bar and a broad variety of food offerings.
Lounge passes will start at $40 for anyone with a boarding pass, regardless of their airline or class of travel. The pay-per-use lounge is the 12th in Canada from Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited, and will be outfitted with extensive glass walls to create a feeling of openness.
“Our goal is to elevate passengers’ travel experience and we believe that the opening of this state-of-the-art Plaza Premium Lounge will achieve exactly that at Winnipeg’s new terminal,” said Plaza’s founder and CEO Song Hoi-see.
The Hong Kong-based company operates more than 110 locations in 28 international airports throughout the world, with plans to expand to another 50 locations in the next two years, including two additions to London Heathrow’s terminals by the end of this year.
