Phone scammers pretending to work for the airport has prompted a warning from the Winnipeg Airports Authority.

The WAA says they have become aware of an auto-dial scam using their name to call unsuspecting people.

Winnipeg’s James Richardson International Airport never uses auto-dialing and isn’t connected with the calls in any way. They ask residents not to give out any personal information to these callers.

Such calls can be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
