A 22-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged after allegedly engaging in sexual online and text messages with a 13-year-old girl.
Police say the man began chatting with the teen in March and made arrangements to meet her. The plan was thwarted when an adult associated with the victim became aware of the situation.
Kyle Hudak was arrested on April 28 and has been charged with three counts of luring a person under 14, and one count of arranging to commit a sexual offence against a person under 14.
Police seized computers and other items from Hudak’s residence a day later.
He has been released on a promise to appear.
