Two teens are facing charges after another teen was assaulted at Sinclair Park Community Centre over the weekend.
Winnipeg police were called to the area just before 3 p.m. on Sunday after a teen was hit with a baseball bat. Police say the suspects got into an altercation with three others when the alleged assault occurred.
A second victim was also nearly hit by the bat before both suspects took off.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital in stable condition with upper body injuries.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17, were soon located in the area of Logan Avenue and McPhillips Street.
The 16-year-old was released on a promise to appear, while the 17-year-old was detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
