Winnipeg Goldeyes infielder Tyler Kuhn has been named the player of the month for May.
The 27-year-old led the Fish with a .389 batting average in May, which ranked third-best in the American Association. He was also tied for the American Association lead in hits with 28 and had a .429 on-base percentage. Kuhn had a .375 average to lead off an inning and also drove in six runs with a .389 average with runners in scoring position.
In the field, Kuhn had a .955 fielding percentage playing all 16 games at shortstop and helped turn nine double plays.
The team begins a seven-game road trip tonight with the first of four games against the Sioux Falls Canaries in South Dakota.
