A 66-year-old man has been arrested in Steinbach after claiming to be a doctor and issuing fraudulent prescriptions.
Leslie Colmer is alleged to have treated patients in Steinbach, Winnipeg, Selkirk and surrounding areas without having a medical licence.
Police believe more victims are out there, including in the Brandon and Beausejour areas.
RCMP launched their investigation after receiving a complaint about the way Colmer conducted himself while seeing a patient.
Colmer faces 14 counts of fraud and one charge of assault. Further charges may be laid.
He remains in custody and police continue to investigate.
