Man Flees on ATV After Shooting on Manitoba First Nation

RCMP Crest LogoA 27-year-old man was treated for non-life threatening injuries on Tuesday after being shot on Lake Manitoba First Nation.

The shooting occurred at around 7:15 p.m., sending RCMP to use trucks and ATVs to pursue the suspect who fled off-road.

A 41-year-old man from Lake Manitoba First Nation was soon arrested without incident. He’s facing charges of flight from police, impaired driving and possession of marijuana. Charges in the shooting are still being determined.

The suspect remains in police custody.
