The Winnipeg Goldeyes have acquired right-handed pitcher Chandler Barnard from the San Angelo Colts of United League.
Barnard comes in exchange for a player to be named later and was 1-0 with a 0.53 ERA in three appearances, including two starts, with the Colts this season.
The 28-year-old struck out 19 batters and walked just one in 17 innings pitched. He has previous American Association experience with the Lincoln Saltdogs, El Paso Diablos and Amarillo Sox.
Barnard will start today’s game against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at Newman Outdoor Field at 1 p.m., as the Goldeyes conclude a seven-game road trip.
