Two teens have been arrested after a garage and vehicle break-in spree in the Wildwood Park area of the city.
Winnipeg police say between May 1-21, 14 break-ins occurred, resulting in several items stolen, including vehicles, money, jewellery, bikes and a cell phone. In one case, the suspects found a fire extinguisher and discharged it inside one of the vehicles, causing significant damage.
Police began Project Comet last month as part of their investigation, focusing on property-related crime.
Two male youths, aged 14 and 17, are now facing a list of charges. They remain in custody.
