Police are requesting the public’s help after the car of a missing Calgary woman was found abandoned just west of MacGregor, Manitoba earlier this month.

Michelle Matovich, 28, was last seen by family on the May long weekend. Her vehicle with Alberta plates was found on the highway by Portage RCMP on June 3. Police say the vehicle had luggage, a map and a cell phone inside.

It’s not known why Matovich was in Manitoba, but police are concerned for her well-being.

Calgary police have also been notified.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Portage RCMP at (204) 857-4445 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

UPDATE: Friday, June 13 — Matovich has been safely located.
