The Manitoba government is rolling out the second of three new mobile health clinics this fall.
The Southern Health–Santé Sud mobile clinic will gradually be introduced in Dominion City and Woodridge, followed by Plumas, Langruth and St. Ambroise.
The units are staffed by a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse and a driver, offering services such as regular checkups to treating minor ailments and helping people manage a chronic disease or other serious condition.
The first clinic has been operating since February in the Prairie Mountain Health region. The third will serve the Interlake–Eastern Regional Health Authority by the summer of 2015.
Patients can book an appointment by calling a toll-free number at the regional health authority when the clinic is up and running.
