As soccer fans around the world get ready to celebrate the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Winnipeg fans will also be getting in on the spirit of the games.
The local venue team of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 is inviting fans down to the Shark Club (233 Hargrave Street) at 3 p.m. today for a kickoff party. Brazil will take on Croatia in the tournament’s opening match, with each guest receiving a poster for the 2015 women’s event, plus the chance to win a related prize pack during half-time.
FIFA promo teams will also be out during the tournament to award prizes and celebrate the game with fans.
