CC-130 Hercules (FORCES.GC.CA)
An increased military personnel presence near École Roméo-Dallaire this afternoon will only be a drill.
Members of the 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron are conducting a search and rescue technician demonstration beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The demonstration will involve SAR Techs parachuting from a CC-130 Hercules aircraft into a secure landing area, weather and operations permitting.
The exercise is being carried out under all applicable Canadian Armed Forces regulations to protect both the public and CAF members.
435 Transport and Rescue Squadron is based at 17 Wing Winnipeg.
