The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has moved to a one-division system, placing all 11 member teams in a single division for the upcoming season.
Teams had previously played in either the Addison or Sher-Wood Divisions. Teams will now play a balanced 60-game schedule, playing against each other six times — three at home and three away.
“The new, one-division format and change to our playoff format was decided at our recent board of governors’ meeting held recently in Winkler,” said MJHL commissioner Kim Davis. “It’s been well received and we believe our fans will enjoy our new look.”
Ten teams will make the playoffs, with teams finished seventh to 10 participating in separate, best-of-three survivor series to determine playoff seeding.
