Schools in The Pas Reopen After Gun Scare

RCMP Crest LogoSchools and businesses in The Pas were in lockdown Thursday after a gun scare.

RCMP received two reports of two male youths walking the streets of Opaskwayak Cree Nation with a firearm at around 11 a.m.

Police quickly located and arrested both suspects, recovering an air pistol in their possession.

Schools in OCN and The Pas reopened at around 1 p.m. after being advised by RCMP that the threat was over.

Police are continuing to investigate.
