WINNIPEG — The city has changed the way traffic signals operate at Raleigh and Springfield due to a drop in traffic flow.
Lights were modified this week to flash red for north/south traffic on Raleigh Street and flash amber for east/west traffic on Springfield Road.
Traffic volumes have subsided in the area since 2011 when the Chief Peguis Trail opened.
The traffic signals will remain in flashing mode but will be reviewed as future development of the Palliser Major Redevelopment site at the southeast corner of Gateway and Springfield is completed.
