Friends of Sherbrook Pool are throwing a party to thank supporters on Saturday.
The group will hold its annual general meeting, where the province, city and Kinsmen Club of Winnipeg will be recognized for their support. The Kinsmen Club announced $1 million for the pool in May to complete dire renovations so it can reopen.
Funders will be presented with a community banner, as well as a plaque to be installed at the facility.
A party in Central Park will follow at 1 p.m. to celebrate the conclusion of another KidSwim session, which provides children with free Red Cross certified swimming lessons.
