Winnipeg Police Probe Overnight Shooting

Winnipeg Police CrestA 21-year-old man is now in stable condition following a shooting early Sunday morning.

Winnipeg police were called to the area of McGregor Street and Mountain Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. after the man was shot in the lower body. He was originally taken to hospital in unstable condition, but was later upgraded.

Police say the victim was in the area to purchase drugs when he was confronted by two unknown males, one of which was armed and fired a shot.
