Winnipeg police have made an arrest in a 2012 sexual assault of a 58-year-old woman.
Police say the victim was assaulted in the early morning hours of October 12 while at a house party in the 600 block of Panet Road. While the woman was outside for a cigarette, she was confronted by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.
Last Friday, police arrested a suspect on an outstanding warrant relating to the assault in the area McDermot Avenue and Gertie Street.
Desmond Koroma, 32, has been charged with sexual assault and remains in custody.
