A mother and son team from Winnipeg are two of the latest competitors to be announced for the second season of “The Amazing Race Canada.”
Cormac and Nicole Foster will represent the city on the reality show, which dishes out challenges to teams in a race against time to complete them.
Winnipeg already has an advantage of producing winning combos. Last season’s winners, Tim Hague Sr. and Jr., were from Winnipeg and took home the top prize in the series.
According to the official show bios, Cormac, 19, is a biosystems engineering student at the University of Manitoba, while Nicole, 39, works as a director of resident services at a nursing home.
This season’s prizes include gas for life from Petro-Canada, as well as a top cash payout of $250,000 and the opportunity to fly free for a year anywhere Air Canada flies worldwide in Business Class, plus two Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks.
Manitoba-born Olympic athlete Jon Montgomery will return as host of the show.
Season 2 of “The Amazing Race Canada” premieres Tuesday, July 8 on CTV.
