A Winnipeg teen known for making endless supplies of bagged lunches to feed the city’s less fortunate, has received a $2,000 donation from Coca-Cola.
Nathan Unrau founded Lunches With Love in 2012 to provide bagged lunches to Winnipeg’s homeless. Last summer, Coca-Cola helped Nathan pack 2,000 lunches and deliver them to shelters across the city.
The beverage maker’s latest monetary contribution will help Unrau continue his program and provide over 1,500 paper bag lunches to those in need.
“Lunches With Love and Nathan Unrau are great examples of why Winnipeg is a special place. We’re pleased to continue to support their important work building a stronger Winnipeg community,” said John Guarino, president of Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada.
