A 64-year-old man from the RM of Springfield has been charged after police allege he secretly recorded young family members in his home while encouraging sexual acts.
RCMP launched an investigation on June 5 and say the man set up a recording device in the washroom of his home. Sexually explicit material was also made available to a child and the suspect is said to have possessed child pornography.
A search of the home also turned up firearms that were unsafely stored.
The man was arrested on June 11 and is facing voyeurism and child pornography charges, as well as four counts of unsafe storage of ammunition.
To protect the identity of the victims, the man’s name isn’t being released.
He will appear in Beausejour court on September 2.
