A man suspected of trying to cut into an ATM with a torch is in police custody.
Winnipeg police got a call early Monday morning about suspicious activity in the 100 block of St. Anne’s Road.
Police arrived to find the man attempting to cut into the bank machine. He was immediately arrested.
Police were also able to link the suspect to another attempted ATM robbery on June 15 in the 600 block of Kildare Avenue. The man tried to break into the rear of the ATM at the time, but was foiled by an alarm.
