Luc Lewandoski (HANDOUT)
A candidate to fill the soon empty councillor seat in the Charleswood-Tuxedo ward has made his intentions known.
Luc Lewandoski will take a run at the job in this fall’s civic election. Currently working as the executive assistant for North Kildonan Coun. Jeff Browaty, Lewandoski says the experience has made him realize the relationship between the city and its residents has broken down.
“From regular audits being required for megaprojects to the inconsistent patching of potholes, Winnipeg residents are clearly frustrated with their city governance at this point in history,” Lewandoski said.
“The responsibility for this loss of faith falls to both politicians and administration, and it is going to take many years of hard work to make our residents believe in their government again.”
Lewandoski is a customs broker by trade and is originally from Sandy Lake. The married father of one has lived in Winnipeg since 2003.
Current Charleswood Coun. Paula Havixbeck is currently one of seven mayoral candidates.
