Canada Day will be celebrated at the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market on July 1.

A special Tuesday edition of the market will open at 4 p.m. Prior to that, a community picnic is planned at the St. Norbert Community Centre just north of the market site from noon to 3 p.m.

Musicians will perform as part of the festivities, Aurora Farm will offer pony rides and the Metis Infinity Square Dancers perform at 4:30 p.m. The RasTamils band follows at 9:30 p.m.

Attendees will also be treated to free Canada Day cake and Archangel Fireworks will put on one of their famous displays at dusk.

The St. Norbert BIZ, Heritage Canada and six other community partners are supporting the event.
