The Manitoba Bisons women’s soccer team has recruited an international player from Brazil for the upcoming 2014 season.
Bruna Mavignier de Vasconcelos, 21, has played futsal — a variant of association football that is played on a smaller field indoors — at the club and high school level in Brazil.
The 5’5” forward played for Taça Brasil sub 20 (Brazil Cup under 20) and produced six goals in four games in 2012.
“She is from Brazil and of course has amazing technical skills and vision of the game that she developed by playing futsal in her country,” said Bisons head coach Martinez Lagunas.
