Two Arrested After Shots Fired in Fort Garry

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo people are in police custody after shots were fired Monday evening in Fort Garry.

Winnipeg police were called to the area of Chancellor Drive and Pembina Highway for the report of a gun having been seen.

Witnesses say gunshots were heard and the suspects fled in a vehicle heading northbound on Pembina. No injuries were reported.

The tactical unit and Air 1 also responded, but couldn’t locate the pair.

Shortly after 8 p.m., RCMP stopped the vehicle near Roblin Boulevard and the Perimeter Highway and turned the suspects over to Winnipeg police.

The investigation is ongoing.
