Police Seize Weapons, Body Armour from Winnipeg Home

Winnipeg Police CrestA 45-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged after police raided his home and found a cache of weapons on Monday.

Police executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Trent Avenue, with help from the tactical support team and street crime unit members.

Twenty-one guns were seized, including rifles, handguns and shotguns. Police also found body armour, ammunition, brass knuckles, a butterfly knife and a stun gun.

Trevor Allan Zayac has been charged with numerous weapons-related offences and remains in custody.
