Special Olympics Manitoba is sending its provincial team to Vancouver this week to compete at the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games.
Team Manitoba will have 124 athletes in action July 8-12.
Competitors were selected through their performances at the 2013 Spring and 2013 Summer Provincial Games. The 11 sports that Team Manitoba will be participating in are power lifting, soccer, softball, rhythmic gymnastics, bocce, athletics, swimming, basketball, golf, five pin bowling and 10 pin bowling.
For the first time in the Games’ history, basketball, bocce and golf are also being included.
