A new pop-up bike shop has opened at The Forks, meant to improve cycling amenities in the area.
White Pine Pixies sells and rents a variety of single speed bicycles and unicycles, along with parts and accessories.
“What’s unique about this shop is that it that is a classic pop-up,” said Paul Jordan, chief operating officer of The Forks. “It literally appeared overnight and is now selling unique urban transportation.”
Jordan says the pop-up is just one of a number of initiatives that The Forks will undertake over the next couple of years.
“Some of these include cycle tracks, additional secure and interesting bike lock ups and connections to surrounding neighbourhoods.”
White Pine Fixies is located just outside The Forks Market southeast doors and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the September long weekend.
