Manitoba RCMP say they have found the body of a man who was knocked into a fast-flowing river over the weekend.
RCMP said the 39-year-old Brandon man was fishing on the shore of a spillway from a reservoir near the town of Rivers. He was knocked into the water after a woman driving an ATV lost control and careened down an embankment into a concrete barrier. The crash saw the man end up in the water and he was swept away due to high water levels.
The man was found about 1.5 km away from where he fell in, said RCMP.
The woman, 58, died in the crash, despite wearing a helmet.
