The Nature Playground at Assiniboine Park has lost their marbles.
Three of the playground’s big, colourful balls (affectionately known as “Skittles”) were hauled off by some very strong thieves, says Laura Cabak, spokesperson for the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.
“These balls are anchored to the ground and are quite large and very heavy. It is a bit of a mystery how and why someone might want to take them, but nevertheless, they are gone and we would love to get them back,” she said.
The staff have searched the park in case the thieves discarded them, but have had no luck finding them.
“If someone, somewhere discovers one or more of these large colourful balls we would love for them to give us a call at (204) 927-6000 so we can retrieve them.”
